With the wishing to celebrate Burgundy Assemblage’s 2nd Year, I am writing this article to introduce TIEN S!

剛收到的TIEN S，實際上肉眼看是不像照片那般鮮紅。

我相信大家都有穿過皮鞋的經驗，一樣的道理，皮製品隨著時間及使用次數的不同，柔軟度、顏色以及紋路都會有所改變。這一切都是正常的皮革變化，就好像你不可能在這世界上找到兩塊天然皮革是一模一樣的。這也不表示皮製品保存上較費力，而應該說這是”皮製品的價值所在”，因為你所擁有的是獨一無二的。

Please note that the colour will be different because of the light (tungsten, sunlight, spotlight, yellow-light…etc.). The real colour of the bag is less saturated than above pic. By saying this, a premise when the bag is “brand new” should be added.

I believe most of us had the experience wearing a pair of leather shoes. You might notice that the colour, softness and grains could change by times and usage. That doesn’t mean that the leather products’ durability is weak, but the existence value of leather products.

Oh hello everyone, I forgot to say some preface for this article! Actually, it is my very first time to write an article except of travel and café!

Burgundy Assemblage是由設計師Lan Peng和Akram Aghbal一同創立，工作設計室位於紐約市，其實他們7月8-10日才剛剛為BA慶祝完2歲生日呢！在這麼繁華的都市，看到這麼簡潔低調又不失自我風格的設計，著實令人眼目一新。

Burgundy Assemblage was founded by designers Lan Peng and Akram Aghbal. BA had just celebrated their 2nd birthday and opened their secret of the secret studio (`･∀･) in New York to the visitors and so we can look into the creative insight BA has used behind-the-scenes for the entire Burgundy Assemblage leather bag collection.

雖說我有特別喜歡的顏色，但對包包來說，其實我不是一個會特別挑顏色或品牌的人。但若談及包的形狀設計，我不得不說每當我看到硬式手提包，我都會不禁多看兩眼。因為我真的很喜歡英挺的包款。

I’m not typically one for colour, nor for brand. But if talking about shape, hell yeah, I cannot resist the charm of hard-totes, such as Brogue Leather Satchel or Selma Saffiano Leather Satchel.

我習慣把每個要放進去包包裡面的東西都擺在剛好的位置，也就是說我不喜歡軟的包包，因為這樣我擺好的順序就會亂掉（很龜毛(ﾟ3ﾟ)～♪）。而當我看到TIEN S的時候，我腦中劃過”就是她了！”

有些朋友可能看圖會覺得這包包好像不夠裝，但其實實際測試，基本必須的日常物品都可以放進去，實際測試影片。

I am used to keeping things in sequence when they are in bag; therefore, I am not a big fan of soft totes. When I saw TIEN S on BA’s official web, I decide that I will definitely get this one!

Some of us might concern on the capacity of TIEN S. So, let me show you a video and give you an idea on it (*´ω`)人(´ω`*)

TIEN S就好像是迷你版的托特包，她有一個神奇的魔力，就是讓你篩選掉那些其實平時帶在身上也不太會用到的東西(哈!)，中間還有一個隱藏磁釦可以將包包釦住。對我來說，這款包還真的是小而美的恰到好處！

This mini version of leather tote might not be enough for your unnecessary items, but it’s perfect for me to bring just necessary daily essentials, as you can see on above video. TIEN S is an elegant design, it’s got a style and attitude all its own. Besides, the magnetic closure leather stripe helps to keep things secure.

我經由官網下定後大約12天(含假日)運送到我手上，打開箱子看到一張感謝卡及一張紙，上面概述了BA的相關介紹。防塵袋也很有厚度，一點都不馬虎。TIEN S包是100%由小牛皮製作而成，所以整個包的外在觸感非常熟軟，包括手提把。但令人驚嘆的是這柔軟的皮料因設計與裁縫結構的用心，讓整個包的外型保持英挺優雅的大器。我想，TIEN S將成為我出門的必備包！

I ordered online and it took about 12 days to ship to Taiwan. Opened the box, I see the Thank You card and Intro sheet of BA. The 100% Calfskin makes the tactile impression of the tote soft, but the assemblage design keeps the tote in shape.

TIEN S shows its chic, classic and a fit go-to bag for me to bring everywhere. ヽ(✿ﾟ▽ﾟ)ノ

TIEN S的實際顏色是深紅又偏酒紅色，但就像我一開始所說的，每一件皮革製品的顏色、柔軟度和紋路都會因為時間和使用量而漸漸改變。我最喜歡的顏色有紅、紫、白，TIEN S就剛好是我喜歡的主色系之一！

The colour is relevantly dark red mixed a bit wine red, but as I mentioned above, the colour, softness and grains will change depends on the usage and the environment. My favourite colours are red, purple and white and so TIEN S is pretty much the theme that I am in love with.

而有關TIEN S的命名由來，若你有過跟我一樣的疑問，那我現在就來為您解答！d(＇∀＇)

其實就諧音而言，大家應該都猜的到這個字跟中文相關，經過詢問，果然是由「恬」這個字命名！「恬」在中文的釋義包含心境的安靜、平靜、甜美、平和的意思，可以參考古文：

恬，安也。 ——《說文系傳》

恬，靜也。 ——《廣雅》

恬淡為上，勝而不美。 ——《老子》

恬淡寡欲。 ——曹丕《與吳質書》

恬然自安。 ——唐 • 白居易《琵琶行（并序）》

If you are thinking the same as what I did, you might want to ask why “TIEN”? The word is obviously not come from English nor Latin, yet, the word is come from a Chinese character “恬.”

而又為何會用「恬」這個字來命名呢? 因為BA的創立人之一同時也是設計師的Lan Yu的姐姐名字中有個「恬」字，用家人的名字來命名，別具一番意義！

恬TIEN contains the meanings of sweet, ease, comfortable, tranquil, peaceful and calm. The designer of TIEN S is Lan, co-founder of Burgundy Assemblage. Actually, it is named after designer’s sister called Tien. And yes, they are the sisters of the famous actor Eddie Peng. (✪ω✪)

Burgundy Assemblage的產品皆挑選最高品質的材料精心設計製作而成。以皮革來說，牛皮的種類相當多元，市面上的皮製品多標榜真牛皮，但其實同樣為真牛皮的材質，不同部位的皮等級就足以影響超過5倍的價差。而小牛皮顧名思義，就是牛還小的時候就製成了牛皮材料，小牛皮的皮面毛孔較小且細緻，摸起來觸感質地較滑順，生長紋路不明顯，用來製作精品是最昂貴但最精細的材料。

以TIEN S來說，她外面斜線的設計內藏貼心的磁釦暗袋，也就是說，我可以把我的悠遊卡輕易地放在這邊也不怕它不見，因為它的鬆緊度和磁釦的力度是恰到好處！

The products of BA are simple and classic, whilst made from the highest-quality materials and meticulously designed. The outer hidden magnetic pocket on TIEN S is so sweet for me, I can easily put my Go-card in it and seriously no need to worry about losing it because the magnetic is just at the right place to secure the things inside.

*if I must suggest one thing after used the bag, I would recommend to minimize the width of magnetic closure leather stripe in the middle for a bit, so that after we put our bottle or umbrella, the strip won’t be too tight when magnetized.

在台灣北部這種天氣善變又常常下雨的城市工作，我每次出門都一定要帶傘，而沒想到這摺疊傘竟然可以完美的放進去TIEN S裡面，磁釦還可以釦的起來。仔細觀察TIEN S包的尺寸大約是20cm長x20cm寬x11.5cm深，還有58cm的可調式肩背帶。不管你是要出外走走還是跟三五好友的約會，帶上TIEN S都可以完美的凸顯出我們整體的穿著。我想Burgundy Assemblage的設計有一個神奇的地方，那就是它可以同時兼具運動休閒以及優雅有型。

Working in a city which rains often like Taipei, I always bring a folded umbrella and it perfectly suit in the bag which the magnetic leather strip can still close. The size of the bag is approx. 8”H x 8”W x 4.5” D with a detachable, adjustable strap; 23″ drop.

No matter you are going out for a walk or dine with your friends, a great designed tote is the best way to highlight your outfit. The amazing part of BA design is that the products can be either sporty or chic for various purposes.  d(`･∀･)b

如果你更仔細的觀察BA的官網，應該可以發現BA的所有設計旨在打破既有性別先入為主的觀念和品牌迷失的框架，BA的產品價位合理且物超所值。整體來說，TIEN S是我心目中最喜歡的迷你小包，就好像麻雀雖小，五臟俱全一樣濃縮所有精華！

If you have a look on Burgundy Assemblage‘s official website, you might find out that the entire collection is designed to break through preconceived notion of gender and labeling. Moreover, the price of BA is fair, it worth the cost you paid. Overall, I would say TIEN S is one of the best mini and complete totes, extremely suitable for those who love to go easy and convenient.

輕輕滑開門，彷彿走入另一個世界。

今天滿位，還好尚有門口角落的沙發椅配藏寶箱當桌子，讓我可以靜靜地享受做一個夢。

I slid the door and walked in this place. It feels like another world.

There was no vacant seat, so I went to the corner which provides me a sofa with a cataclysm database as the table.

The sofa with soft cushion was cozy enough for me to immerse in my world…and dream.

看來Sunny姊今天得招呼不少人，所以我拿出了7月份大誌，沒想到就這樣被拉進了這個氛圍的漩渦中。

店裡背景音樂的清澈配著雜誌裡面的世界資訊，似乎就這樣帶著我走了圈簡單的旅程。

It seemed that Sunny needed to serve many customers alone.

I took out the Big Issue I bought this month from my bag, and then I was drawn into the vortex of this atmosphere.

The background music was clear; the articles in the magazine contained so many worldwide information, and I was leading to a simple journey.

有人說過，若結伴旅行，最重要的是旅伴；那我想… 品嚐，最重要的就是氣氛了。

這麼說或許有些人會覺得過於膚淺，但我並不是說那些昂貴的高檔餐廳的氣氛。

無論品嚐什麼、在什麼環境下品嚐，職人的專業無可抹滅，但若當下氣氛不好，相信印象也就難免被減分。

Some say that “Partner” is the most important component when traveling with others;

then I would say that “atmosphere” is the most important element when tasting food.

Some would say that I am too superficial, but I am not saying those expensive and exclusive restaurant.

No matter what or where you are tasting the food, the skills of the masters won’t be denied.

Yet, if you are sending this food into your stomach in a noisy and messy place, the impression would be minus inevitably.

今天點了焦糖拿鐵及提拉米蘇，年初我在「翻開咖啡與點心的新頁」文中有稍微解釋過提拉米蘇的含意。

在義大利原文裏，「Tira」是「提、拉」的意思，

「mi」是「我」，「sù」是「往上」，合起來就是「拉我起來」，國外直接解釋為「帶我走」，

讓顧客味蕾品嚐到的不只是美味，還有愛和幸福。

Today, I ordered a cup of caramel latte and a piece of Tiramisu.

Remember I’ve mentioned the meaning of Tiramisu in the article I wrote early this year.

In Italian, “Tira” means “pull up”; “mi” means me; “su” means “up.”

In general, they explain the complete sentence as “take me away.”

Therefore, the taste of Tiramisu is not only full of delicacy, but also Love and Happiness.

不知為何，走入揪豆跟Sunny姊和David哥聊天，配上咖啡和點心，整天的情緒竟然就莫名地回歸到平和。

With no reason, every time I walk in Jodo, drink a sip of coffee, eat a piece of dessert, and have a chat with David and Sunny, my messy mood after work returns to peace inexplicably.

昨天因為Tim Duncan退休的事情，跟朋友聊到，2000年前加入NBA的球員中，目前只有兩名球員是從頭到尾只效力在同一支球隊，

他們分別是湖人的Kobe Bryant、馬刺的Tim Duncan，沒意外的話..下一個就是小牛的Dirk Nowitzki了吧！

The retirement announce of Tim Duncan actually shocked me yesterday.

If I am not wrong, there are so far only 2 professional basketball players(among players joined in and before the year 2000) who played the entire NBA life in the same team… they are Kobe Bryant in Lakers and Tim Duncan in Spurs.

If no accident, Dirk Nowitzki in Mavericks should be the next one.

想當年我開始注意NBA是從湖人歐布連線開始，喜歡上籃球這種團隊默契的運動。

雖然之後俠客歐尼爾Shaq O’Neal生涯集滿了「彩虹球衣」，2014年7月還自己在Instagram上自嘲，仍然不減當年的俠客風雲年代。

What makes me in love with watching NBA? That would be the legendary “O’Brien connection.”

Thought Shaq O’Neal then collected a rainbow throughout all his entire NBA life, but the legend insanity they built in the crazy year is still indelible.

一個個童年開始的記憶褪去，還真的是長江後浪推前浪。

隨手拿起了焦糖拿鐵，啜一口過去的回憶，飲一份初甜的甘露。

The day goes on and so many memories has gone, life is like this, isn’t it?

I picked up the caramel latte, sipped the memories that passed, drank the sweetness that brewed.

在這個角落位置的好處就是，前方就是大片落地窗，

時而低頭看看雜誌，時而抬頭望著窗外，這個市區的縮影就這樣如電影框般映入眼簾。

The advantage of taking this seat is that you will be facing to a  large french window.

You can read the magazines and look out of the window whenever you want.

The epitome of the city is like a cinematic frame that reflect a story into your eyes.

猶記得之前介紹過揪豆最出名的黑冰鑽，突然想到上次我嘗試了白冰鑽！

白冰鑽適合平時沒有喝咖啡，但又很喜歡淡淡咖啡香，

或午後喝咖啡晚上容易失眠，但就是想再喝一口的朋友！

As I introduced the most famous Black Diamond cafe of Jodo in previous articles, I then tried the White one afterwards!

The White one suits more on the customers who rarely drink coffee or will get insomnia if drink coffee after noon time.

It tastes as smooth as the Black one, but it is smoother with milk!

夏季天氣炎熱且多變，今天從機場下班時天氣非常好，天空很藍、雲很薄，

沒想到下了高架烏雲密布，到了松江路轉角就下起雨了，也還好雨不大。

The weather is getting hotter and more changeful recently.

When I  got out of the office in the airport, the sky was still blue and the clouds were light.

However, when the bus left the highway, it started to rain. Glad that it didn’t rain too hard tho.

滴答滴答地，時間不知不覺就快晚上7點了，

打烊之前跟Sunny姊和剛回來的David哥聊一聊天，

笑著走出綴有6條絃的店門口，抬頭看看星空，

我邁開步伐，帶著愉悅的心情， 回家！

With the time ticking, it was almost 19:00 at night imperceptibly.
Before the store closed, I had a chat with Sunny and David who just returned a moment ago.

I looked up at the sky and walked out from the door which decorated with six strings. Smile was on my face.
I took strides with pleasure, let’s go home!
