今天,我又來分享食記了各位~
回想上次初訪揪豆,被揪豆的堅持與美味所震懾而寫下生平第一篇食記,
自己也沒想到那個距離學生時代愛賣弄文筆為賦新辭強說愁這麼多年的我,這次這麼快就要出續集了。(笑
Today, another taste bud adventure story comes.
Remember the 1st time I met Jodo, touched by its purified pure coffee and cakes.
That was the 1st time I wrote an article about food and never think of the 2nd article would be this fast…lol
其實我從搭車一直到回到家的路上就開始打草稿,
因為今天在揪豆一邊品嚐就一邊在腦中捲起腦海小漩渦。
I’ve been drafting this article right after I walked out of Jodo until I got home.
Because there is a swirl inside of my head when tasting which keep me thinking.
最愛榛果拿鐵的我,這次也決定嘗試新的東西,
我想可能會這樣一直嘗試下去,然後強迫David哥和Sunny姊一直研發新產品。(笑
沒辦法呀~誰叫揪豆徹底顛覆了許多我對咖啡及蛋糕的既有印象!(雙手一攤
Such a Hazelnut Latte lover like me, decided to try something different this time.
I think I will just keep trying everything in Jodo, so it will force David and Sunny to invent new series. (ha!
Well, who knows that Jodo has changed a lot of food’s stereotype in my memories.
首先登場的是揪豆遠近馳名的-黑冰鑽!
Here it is~~today’s special is the most famous and classic-Black Diamond Coffee!
我是一個很喜歡喝咖啡的人,也是一個很喜歡研究人家如何做這杯送到我手中的咖啡的人。
但我出外若點咖啡,通常都是點熱咖啡。
你猜猜看為什麼?
I am a person who loves coffee, also a person who love to watch barista making cafe.
But when it comes to drink cafe outside, I always order hot ones.
Guess why?
我相信很多人都知道,冰的咖啡在冰塊融化之時,味道也會因溶解的水份而跟著改變。
味道變淡、咖啡與水分離、愈喝愈像喝有咖啡味道的水…都是原因。
I believe many people experienced this, when the ice melting with the coffee, the water of the ice cube and coffee separated into 2 layers in the cup.
The longer time you put the coffee, the lesser flavour you taste.
黑冰鑽的名字如何而來,相信看到端上桌那裝有幾顆冰塊的玻璃杯即可知悉。
其中顏色較深的那個,就是咖啡做成的冰塊。
你看看這麼大顆的黑冰鑽幾克拉?
我想這是用公斤算不是用克拉算的,您說是吧!(有看電影會懂 😛
So how does the name of “Black Diamond” comes from? You will know it right after you see the coffee.
The ice cube in black colour is made from 100% coffee.
How many carat is this “diamond” then? I think it is counted by kilogram instead of carat tho~(you would know it if you watched themovie :P)
我說揪豆厲害的地方在哪裡,就是他的堅持。
看到這黑冰鑽的當下,問了David哥,才知道這冰塊的數量是計算好的,
好讓每一個客人在享受冰咖啡的時候也不用怕它融化導致味道變質。
What’s so special in Jodo? Persistence, I persume.
When I saw this black diamond, I asked David immediately for the reason.
David said”The ice cubes are calculated, aim to provide every customer the consistent taste no matter how long time it put or how the cube melted.”
如下圖,即使冰塊漸漸的融化了,也看不到咖啡與水分離的分層。
As you can see, even thought the ice cubes are melting, you won’t see it separated into 2 layers.
送到手中這杯咖啡,聞著她孤芳的香氣,已經開始想像她的口感。
第一口下去,我驚訝。驚訝什麼?我想問,這真的是黑咖啡嗎?
我平時喝的黑咖啡不多是那種酸中帶苦,非要加顆奶球或牛奶才順口的嗎?
不,我手中的這一杯不是,他喝下去一點苦味都沒有、一點咬舌的酸味也沒有。
As usual, I observe it, smell it’s narcissistic aroma.
Shake it a bit with ice cubes, smell again, and finally taste it.
1st sip, I shocked. Why shocked? Is this really black coffee?
Isn’t the balck coffee that I drink daily containing the taste of acid and bitter which making me need to add milk for drinking?
No! The one in my hand is not. There is no any acid nor bitter taste in it.
第二口,我故意讓她在嘴裡待久一點,也是一點苦味都沒有留下,
甚至吞下去後幾秒,嘴裡竟然回甘且出現了類似高山茶的香味!!(什麼情況現在?!
2nd sip, I intended to let it stay in my mouth a bit longer before swallow, but I still couldn’t find any taste of bitter.
Surprisingly, after few seconds swallowed, I tasted the scent of tea in my mouth.
WTH? Tea smell after drank the coffee?! Are you serious?
是的,肯妮立馬就問了David哥這到底是什麼神奇的法術?!
David哥笑了,笑著說”這製作的過程中,我們有使用一些特殊的技術讓咖啡的苦澀與酸味都煙消雲散,而是什麼技術,就是商業機密了!但可以確定的是~除非提早預訂,不然黑冰鑽每日限量僅有6~7杯!”
Yes, so Kennie asked David what kind of magic he uses in this Black Diamond right away!?
David laughed and said “We take some special techniques to remove the acid and bitter taste when we make it. Regarding to what kind of the techniques, that is our knowhow! Only one thing we can confirm with you is that this Black Diamond Coffee is limited 6-7 cups per day unless you pre-order more!”
很好,我想我今天真的是幸運,突發奇想地想試試看其他咖啡,也老天保佑的讓我喝到黑冰鑽。
我曾經聽過一句話,我想也許可以應用在這:
“你怎麼對待咖啡,她就怎麼對待你。用心、溫柔做出的咖啡,喝下去是不會讓你不舒服的。”
據說,這種咖啡,也不會讓你睡不著! (抱歉因本人是三秒睡型,這邊就無法幫忙做實驗了)
Okay, I think I am so lucky to taste this Black Diamond Coffee made from the secret of the secret ingredient.
I’ve heard a sentence, it says
“It treats how you treat it back to you. Coffee made from the bottom of the heart will never make you feel uncomfortable.”
it says that this kind of coffee won’t make you have a sleepless night neither!
(since I don’t have this issue so I can’t test it for you tho)
喝咖啡要配什麼呢?當然就是蛋糕!!
根據線報指出,揪豆的招牌蛋糕是我最最最最最喜歡的起司蛋糕,
所以這次我有比較聰明的提早跟David哥和Sunny姊提出訴願~我想吃上次沒有吃到的招牌起司蛋糕。
親切和藹又可愛的David哥和Sunny姊也答應會準備招牌起司蛋糕讓肯妮一飽口福!!(灑花轉圈圈
What to eat with coffee? CAKE absolutely!
Reportedly, Jodo’s most known cake is my favourite Classic Cheese Cake!!
So smart as me messaged David and Sunny and asked mildly whether they will prepare the so called Classic Cheese Cake this time.
So kind as David and Sunny answered YES! Kennie finally can have the chance to try it!
閉上眼,先想一下,你印象中的起司蛋糕是什麼樣子的?!
美型而堅挺?冰涼且堅硬?底餅一插即脆?
Ok so now, Close your eyes and recall….what should the cheese cake look like?
Beautiful and well-shaped? Cool and solid? Crispy bottom cookies?
張開眼,來一口吧!
Open your eyes, let’s try this!
當我品嚐到揪豆的招牌起司,才發現,原來我們都錯了。
原來真正的起司蛋糕可以是柔軟又不失扎實、濕潤且入口即化、綿密且起司濃郁,這是餘音繞樑般的吮指美味!
I found that I was so wrong when I tried the Classic Cheese Cake.
I just realized that the real Cheese Cake can be so soft but solid, moist and melty, dense and cheesy. This is such a fancy cake!
所以,知錯能改,善莫大焉,各位下次來揪豆的時候記得親自嚐嚐以示認錯!
Ok, rectifies itself is a remarkable achievement, so next time you visit Jodo, do not forget to order one Classic Cheese Cake as an apology.
除了蛋糕本身,其中還另外藏有玄機。
當我第一叉叉下去時,我就有發現,這底部的餅竟然沒有碎開。
想想我平時吃蛋糕最怕的就是碎裂的餅皮,不吃覺得浪費、吃了又稍嫌乾了點。
而當我一口一口品嚐之時,發現這餅皮濕潤中帶有巧克力味,還可以吃到一顆一顆的顆粒。
當然,肯妮又立馬舉手向David哥提問(今天Sunny姊很忙,得一直在後台呵護客人訂購的蛋糕),
On the other hand, despite of cheese cake itself, there is another secret recipe in this cake.
When I use the fork to cut the first piece of cheese cake, I was surprised that the bottom cookies didn’t cracked and separated from cheese cake.
Remember when I eating other cakes, the bottom cookies always detached from the cake when I use the fork, they are either too dry or too crumble.
I tried my best to figure out what’s inside this special bottom cookies, and I tasted chocolate and something that small and roundish.
So, I asked David again (Sunny was busy in taking care of customer’s cakes today).
原來,這蛋糕底餅是用進口的巧克力與杏仁製作而成!
我想可能是因為我不常吃杏仁的關係,所以沒嚐出杏仁味,
但這個組合真的是絕配,加上調的適中的濕度,當叉子叉下去時,底餅可以咬著蛋糕一起上來讓我有莫名的成就感阿~(成就感很莫名其妙的人XD
我想,市面上應該沒有任何一間營利的店家肯在區區占一塊蛋糕6分之1的底餅上下這麼大的重本吧!
OMG! This bottom cookies are made from imported chocolate and almond!
Maybe because I don’t often eat almond so I didn’t recognize it, but this is just a perfect match.
Plus David and Sunny keep the moist of the cookies, when I use the fork to cut the cake, the bottom cookies can come up together with the cake! This make me feel kind of sense of accomplishment…lol
Let’s say it frankly, which cafe shop would spend this much time and cost on this 1/6 part of the whole cake?
一口一口品嚐了這份一點都不會膩的起司蛋糕,才讓我感受到,
原來不受約束的是生命,而受約束的是心情。
在還沒嘗試之前,我們總是被既有的刻板印象禁錮,唯獨嚐試之後才會將之推翻,
Taste this Cheese Cake piece by piece, I just realized that the limited thing is our thinking, the one that unlimited is our life.
Before we try, we alwasy imprisoned by the stereotype and only overthrow it after we tried.
一口接一口的不小心就吃完了起司蛋糕,眼球一轉,看到了桌上的黃金戚風蛋糕。
David哥看到我好奇的眼神,解釋道:
“這個戚風跟平時的戚風不一樣,她是黃金戚風。口感絕對跟你市面上吃到粗粗又乾乾的戚風蛋糕不同”
After finished the Cheese Cake, I found this Chiffon Cake on the bar table.
Maybe David found my curious eyes, so he explained first:
“This Chiffon is Golden Chiffon cake, it’s different from those dry and fluffy Chiffon.”
我捏了捏肚子肉,想了一下,這星期運動量消耗的扣打應該尚足以供應我多吃這一塊蛋糕吧!(哪來的自信) 好歹下班後我都很努力地去跑個6、7公里呀…
I pinched my belly and thuoght of those exercise I did after work these days, maybe….maybe….I can have some quota for this Chiffon Cake, can’t I?
達賴喇嘛說過:「人類,為了賺錢,他犧牲健康。為了修復身體,他犧牲錢財。然後,因
擔心未來,他無法享受現在。就這樣,他無法活在當下。活著時,他忘了生命是短暫的。
死時,他才發現他沒有好好的活過。」

Human forget that the life is short and only when they die, they realized that they didn’t live for themselves happily.”
好吧~不管了,我就點一塊來吃吧!(掩面
So! Let it be, I will just order another piece~(lol
叉子切下去的霎那,我就知道我又發現了一片新天地。
平時我吃到的戚風蛋糕都是切下去就感受的到空氣,且因為較乾,通常要切好才能一塊一塊吃。
這個黃金戚風,no no no~我竟然可以切到濕度。
吃下去的時候,我發現這黃金戚風是這麼的順口扎實卻不乾卡,我第一次吃戚風蛋糕可以把她吃完且完全不需要配飲品。
At the moment my fork went down , I knew that I’ve discover another new world.
Based on my experiences, when I cut the Chiffon Cake, I can always feel the airy in it. Plus Chiffon Cake always drier than other cakes, I am used ot cut it in pieces before eating.
But for this Golden Chiffon Cake…..no no no….I can’t believe that I can feel the moist when I cut it!
First piece, num num num~how can this Golden Chiffon Cake be so unhesitatingly, solid without being dry. This is my first time finish a Chiffon Cake without keeping drinking.
