在今天之前,如果要我這個愛咖啡、喝咖啡成痴的人說,
For a person like me, who needs at least 2 cups of coffee per day,
最喜歡哪間的咖啡,那可能還停留在母校澳洲昆士蘭大學校園裡面的Merlo Coffee吧!
if you ask me, which coffee shop is my favourite one? I might still answer you “Merlo Coffee in UQ” before today.
回台灣之後,幾乎每天要兩杯咖啡的我,除了手沖以外,不時也會在外面喝咖啡並挖掘每一間咖啡店。
For a cafeholic like me, I not only make cafe by myself everyday, but I do also drink outside sometimes.
但卻實在鮮少遇到一間可以讓我心動,甚至是讚不絕口的咖啡店。
With my cafe advanture so far, it’s really rare and difficult to find a shop that can make my picky taste bud praises.
但,今天!就是今天!我竟然遇到了回台灣後第一間足以讓我味蕾回味無窮的咖啡。
But, TODAY! YES, TODAY! I finally found one here in Taiwan!!!!
她,叫做"揪豆咖啡カフェ"!
It named “Jodo Coffee カフェ”
如果沒有意外,應該大多數的客人都是因為知名又帥氣的男演員彭于晏有推薦而慕名而來。
當然,我也不免俗(笑)。
Not surprisingly, most of the customers visit here because it is recommended by the famous/handsome/super lovely Taiwanese Actor Eddie Peng.(am I too exaggerated? ha!)
幸運的我今天在那邊的時段剛好沒太多客人,可以幸福的靜靜地品嘗與觀察這個小巧窩心的地方。
I was so lucky that there were not much guests today during the time I visited, which provided a quiet and cozy place for me to sit and observe this special shop carefully.
走進來,一瞬間被牆上的電吉他吸引住目光,定睛看了好一陣子。
Walk in and the electric guitars on the wall seized my eyes for a while.
回神之後發現老闆正在吃午餐便當,剛剛好轉頭才發現我。
Coincidentally, David(the Boss) just noticed me while eating his lunch box.
當下我實在很不好意思,我真的不介意老闆慢慢吃完,
因為感覺在這店哩,我可以觀察的東西還多著呢!
I really don’t mind about it and more want him to finish the lunch first.
Because I can tell that in this store, there are many things I can discover.
看著吧台的menu,發現有我最喜歡的榛果拿鐵,當然二話不說就點了這杯。
Checked the menu above the bar, found my favourite Hazelnut Latte, it’s for sure to order this one!
喜歡聽做咖啡的人建議的我,直覺就是讓老闆選擇冰的比較好喝還是熱的。老闆說-冰的。
I always consider the way to taste coffee by asking the suggestion from the coffee maker.
So when David asked me “hot or ice one?” I asked him “which you recommend?”
David: “ice one”
選擇冰的原因我也不問了,要相信專業!
Reason for choosing the ice one? I don’t even bother, I just trust in the professions.
台灣咖啡店較少見到的義大利伊利咖啡,在這邊發現。
Found ILLY CAFFÈ here in Jodo, is not common in Taiwan’s cafe store actually.(not frequent to find it)
可以看到老闆與老闆娘工作中我忙於觀察架子上的各種新奇物品。
While David and his wife are busy in the bar, I was busy in discovering some special things on the shelves.
如果沒錯的話,這櫃子的木板應該是使用紅橡木。
If I am not wrong, the shelves and the materials of the bar table are made from red oak.
榛果拿鐵來了,刻意分成三層布局的咖啡、飄散奶香的拿鐵,
Oh~my lovely Hazelnut Latte is here. As you can see, the layers of the coffee are clearly visible.
I can smell the milky taste already!
我習慣性地看一看、聞一聞、拌一拌、再聞一聞、再泯一口。
As usual, I always observe it, smell it, stir it, smell again, and finally taste it.
<<三秒後>> 天啊!這味道實在是太特別了!
[3 second later] OMG! The taste is just the way tooooooo special!!
剛剛聞起來奶香味多過榛果香味的拿鐵,喝下去之後竟然可以整個嘴巴都是榛果的堅果香!
The milky smell was more than the hazelnut smell, BUT! After I sipped it a bit, I found the smell of hazelnut is all around my mouth!
我好難用文字形容這個味道,因為這真的不是在外面店家喝到的那種榛果,味道完全不一樣!
It is really hard to describe the taste by words. The taste is just too unique from the common hazelnut coffee I tried in other shops. That is TOTALLY DIFFERENT!
當下我眼睛瞪得估計差不多跟50元大小一樣大 (千里眼公仔的概念XD)!
Think my eyes were as big as Clairvoyance↓ at that time! ha
這時老闆去後面關心剛烤好的烘培,只有老闆娘在前台,我立刻就問了老闆娘
When I was about to ask David the reason why his Hazelnut Latte is so different from others, he was in the room at back, so I asked his wife.
“你們的榛果…好特別!這味道完全跟我在其他店喝到的不一樣?! 為什麼”
“Your Hazelnut tastes so special and it is different from those cafe I’ve tried in other shops, How come?!”
老闆娘笑著說”是呀!我們的榛果是特地進口篩選的義大利榛果,真材實料的去做。我們的東西都堅持真材實料,包括蛋糕和烘培都是。所以很多熟客都是被我們的品質堅持寵壞了。”
David’s wife laughed and said “Yeah! Our hazelnut is imported from Italy and we insist to use those good quality materials in all of our products, including coffee and bakery. Therefore, many of our customers are spoiled, they always come back again after they tried ours, because they couldn’t find the same quality taste outside.”
堅持用優良品質的材料做的咖啡也確實不一樣,因為它的味道不這麼強烈、喝下去也不會覺得口渴(有加香精的會)。
It tastes really unique and impressive, because the smell of it wasn’t strong, but after you drink it, you can feel the materials are really in there! You won’t feel thirsty neither because there is no edible flavour in it.
另外一提,雖然我不知道老闆娘口中的義大利榛果是哪一種,不過回家一查才發現,
原來很有名的Nutella 榛果可可醬是義大利FERRERO公司出品的,是在全球銷售第一的榛果可可醬!
BTW, I just did some research on the hazelnut of Italy and found the famous nutella is the product under Ferrero Co., which HQ is in Italy. Though I don’t know whether there is any connection, but it is interesting as well.
點餐的時候,我看到的menu上也有幾種蛋糕或輕食選擇,不是輕食熱愛者的我~當然選擇了蛋糕。
When ordering, I found there is not only cafe but also some desserts. And I decided to order a Cake!
但是蛋糕又該選擇什麼呢? 我看了看menu,直覺的就是直接問老闆”今天有哪些蛋糕?”
What kind of cake to order then? I took a look at the menu and intuitively asked David his recommendation.
不知道哪來的直覺,就是覺得menu上可能有些會出現、有些不會出現。
No idea why I intuitively wanted to ask David instead of choosing by my own. I just felt that there must be something not in the menu!
也還好我有問,因為,真的有隱藏版!
Glad I did ask, because there was really a “Hidden Edition” today!
老闆說,今天的隱藏版是–草莓起司蛋糕!
雖然我不是草莓的頭號粉絲,但起司?! 當然要試試!!
David said “Today’s hidden edition is—Strawberry Cheese Cake”!
Though I am not a big fan of Strawberry, but CHEESE! oh yes!

這個蛋糕是使用香濃起司及空運新鮮草莓製作而成。
The cake is made from the Rich cheese and airfreighted fresh strawberries
配上美美古典華麗風的蛋糕叉,覺得特別又幸福。
The tasty cake with classical ornate spoon, I felt satisfied and blessed.
吃下去的口感綿密鬆軟、底部底座的餅脆脆卻又不會太乾的脆餅。
The taste of the cake was dense and soft, the cookies at the bottom was crispy and solid.
口齒之間還可以感受到真材實料的食材顆粒,絕對值得一口一口慢慢的細細品味。
You can feel the granules in the mouth when you chewing. This is definitely worth savoring slowly.
在揪豆,我發現都市中的寧靜。
In Jodo, I found the Tranquility in City.
在揪豆,我看見對品質的要求。
In Jodo, I saw the persistence of quality.
在揪豆,我欣賞他設計的寓意 (隱藏在上面的照片中,看出來了嗎?我就不公布答案囉)。

在生活步調極快的台北,我在揪豆發現了慢活而充實的自我。
In the fast-paced Taipei, I found a slow-living and fulfilling me.
這下我真的一點都不懷疑了,我想,我之後也都會是揪豆的常客了。(笑)
There is no doubt. I WILL be a loyal customer here in Jodo!
噢對了!不管喝多少咖啡都可以三秒睡的我離開前也不忘再點一杯帶回家喝。
BTW, since I am a person who can fall asleep instantly no matter how much coffee I drank, I brought another cup of “Rose Latte” when I was leaving.

這應該是我第一次在電腦前坐這麼久細細描述一篇食記吧!(不知道下次是什麼時候ha! XD)
